Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 May 2026

MoonBoots Consultancy UK Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal data when you visit our website at moonbootsconsultancy.com.

What data we collect

Contact form

When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide, including your name, email address, and message content. This data is submitted via Formspree and delivered to [email protected] by email.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics service. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across websites. All data is aggregated and anonymous. No personal information is stored or processed through our analytics.

We also use Google Analytics. This is switched off by default and only loads if you accept analytics cookies through the consent banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, or until you choose, Google Analytics sets no cookies and collects no data. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's storage in your browser.

AI chat widget

Our website includes an AI-powered chat widget. When you use this feature, the messages you send are processed by Anthropic's API to generate responses. We do not store your chat conversations long-term. Messages are processed in real time and are not linked to your identity unless you voluntarily provide personal information within the chat.

How we use your data

  • To respond to enquiries submitted through our contact form
  • To provide AI-powered chat responses on our website
  • To understand how visitors use our website in aggregate (via Plausible Analytics)
  • To improve our services and website experience

Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)

We process your personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Consent - When you voluntarily submit information via our contact form or chat widget, you consent to us processing that data for the purpose of responding to your enquiry.
  • Legitimate interest - We have a legitimate interest in understanding website usage through privacy-respecting analytics and in improving our services.
  • Contractual necessity - Where processing is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a consultancy engagement.

Data sharing and third parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with the following third parties solely for the purposes described:

  • Anthropic - Chat messages are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
  • Formspree - Contact form submissions are processed through Formspree.
  • Google - If you accept analytics cookies, usage data is processed by Google Analytics in accordance with Google's own privacy policy.
  • Hosting providers - Our website is hosted by third-party infrastructure providers who may process data as necessary to serve the website.

Cookies

By default this website sets no cookies. Our primary analytics provider, Plausible, is entirely cookie-free. Google Analytics is the only feature that sets cookies, and it does so only after you accept analytics cookies through the consent banner. If you decline, no cookies are set. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's storage in your browser, which will show the banner again.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry and for our legitimate business records. Chat messages are processed in real time and are not retained long-term. Aggregated analytics data is retained by Plausible in accordance with their data retention policies.

  • Right to rectification - You can request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Right to erasure - You can request that we delete your personal data where there is no compelling reason for its continued processing.

  • Right to restrict processing - You can request that we limit how we use your data.
  • Right to object - You can object to our processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to withdraw consent - Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
