A complete digital rebuild for a Norfolk systematic kinesiology practice. New brand, production website on Next.js, integrated CMS and CRM, online client onboarding, and an SEO foundation built to rank locally from day one.

The Rebalance Kinesiology website. Brand, content, and client management in one platform.
Rebalance Kinesiology is a systematic kinesiology practice based in Norfolk, run by a fully qualified practitioner with a loyal client base built almost entirely through word of mouth. The work is specialist, the outcomes are real, and the demand is there. The digital side of the business was not keeping up.
The original website was a thin brochure with no clear story, no booking flow, and no presence on Google for the terms that mattered locally. New client enquiries arrived as scattered emails and WhatsApp messages that had to be chased manually. There was no central record of who had booked, who had filled in their intake forms, or who was due a follow-up. Every administrative task lived in a different tool, or in a notebook, or in someone's head.
The brief was to fix all of it in one coherent build. New brand, new site, content management the practitioner could run herself, a lightweight CRM that did not require a software degree to operate, an online onboarding form that gathered everything needed before a first appointment, and an SEO foundation strong enough to start ranking locally without paid ads.
Why we replaced five logins, five databases, and five brand kits with one platform built on a single Next.js application.
The temptation with a brief like this is to stitch together a website builder, a separate CRM, a separate forms tool, a separate blog platform, and a separate analytics product, then leave the client to manage five logins. We took the opposite approach. Everything was built into a single Next.js production application with one database, one admin login, and one consistent design language.
Health and wellness is a category where trust is the entire purchase decision. The rebrand centred on a butterfly motif chosen to reflect the transformation work the practice does, with a calm, considered visual system that signals competence rather than mysticism. Every page on the new site, every blog header image, and every client-facing document draws from the same brand kit, so the experience feels coherent from the first Google result to the in-person session.
The site is built on Next.js 14 with the App Router, Prisma and PostgreSQL for data, NextAuth for the practitioner's admin login, and Tiptap for a rich blog editor that feels closer to writing in a notebook than wrangling a CMS. Deployed on Railway with Cloudflare in front for DNS, SSL, and caching. Every page is server-rendered, which means every word is visible to Google in the initial HTML response, which is the foundation of every other SEO decision.
The blog and content system was designed around one constraint: the practitioner has to be able to write a post, add a header image, and publish it without asking anyone for help. The Tiptap editor handles formatting in a way that feels familiar. Image uploads are one click. SEO fields are surfaced as friendly prompts rather than hidden under a developer panel. Three SEO-optimised posts were written, designed, and published as part of the launch to seed the blog and prove the workflow.

Rather than bolt on a generic CRM that would never get used, we built a focused client record system inside the same application. Each client has a profile, a history of bookings, a record of intake responses, and space for the practitioner's private session notes. New enquiries flow in from the website contact form and the onboarding form directly into the CRM, so nothing is lost between Google and the first appointment.
First appointments in a kinesiology practice depend on a thorough intake. Historically that meant a paper form filled in awkwardly in the waiting room, eating into session time. The new onboarding form is sent to the client by link the moment they book, gathers everything the practitioner needs, and arrives in the CRM before the client walks in the door. The first session starts on time and starts with the actual work, not the paperwork.
Every page has unique title tags, meta descriptions, semantic headings, descriptive image alt text, and LocalBusiness JSON-LD schema covering the Norfolk service area. The sitemap is generated automatically and submitted to Google Search Console. Internal linking ties every blog post to the relevant service page. Page speed scores are in the high nineties on mobile. None of this is glamorous work, but it is the work that actually moves rankings, and doing it at build time costs almost nothing compared to retrofitting it later.
The practitioner now writes and publishes blog posts directly, manages every client record in one place, sees new enquiries land automatically, and walks into every first session already knowing what the client needs. The administrative drag that used to eat evenings is gone.
The new brand has lifted the perceived professionalism of the practice in a way that is hard to quantify but obvious in client feedback. Enquiries that used to start with “I think this is the right place” now start with “I can see this is the right place.”
The SEO foundation is doing exactly what it was built to do. Pages are indexed. Local search visibility is climbing. The blog is generating organic traffic for long-tail health questions that bring in exactly the kind of client the practice wants to attract.
“The Rebalance build is the answer to a question I get asked a lot, which is whether a small specialist business really needs a custom platform or whether a website builder will do. The honest answer is that a website builder will get you online, and a custom platform will get you a business that runs itself. The difference is not the homepage. The difference is whether your enquiries, your client records, your content, and your search visibility are pulling in the same direction or fighting each other. We build them to pull in the same direction.”
If you run a specialist practice, a clinic, a studio, or any small business where every new client matters and your time is the constraint, this is the pattern we build. One coherent system, designed around how you actually work, that earns its keep on day one and keeps earning it as you grow.
